Joining of the Association of Sudanese prosecutors to the Arab Union of Judges

The Board of Directors of the Arab Union of Judges decided on May 18, 2019, and in compliance with the provisions of Articles 9 and 10 of the statutes of the Union, to accept the request submitted by the Association of Sudanese Prosecutors to join the Union. The Sudanese Prosecutors’ Association is the first congregational judicial structure for members of the Judicial authority in Sudan, and has been recently established & issued it’s first statement on 15/5/2019, the letter of correspondence issued by the Arab Union of Judges addressed to the Association of Sudanese prosecutors proscribed that the Board of Directors of the Union expresses its support to the legitimate demands and stands of members of the association of Sudanese prosecutors in defense of independence of the judicial system and public prosecution, as well as the Union’s support to the right of judges and prosecutors in our neighboring Sudan to form professional associations as a constitutional right provided for by national constitutions and principles regarding the United Nations on Independence of the Judicial System of 1985, and the Arab Charter on Human Rights and relevant international conventions.
